Charisma is a sparkle in people that money can't buy. It's an invisible energy with visible effects. - Marianne Williamson
People who love life have charisma
because they fill the room with positive energy. - John C. Maxwell
Think of a time
when the reader was talking with someone and they said, “Wow, that person has
charisma.” What made the reader think
the person had charisma? What qualities
did they show that were charismatic?
Now, what if the
reader could develop their skills to bring out charisma in someone else? In Think Again: The Power of Knowing What
You Don't Know, Adam Grant defined a term called “inverse charisma”, which
is bringing out the charisma of others through the conversation one has with
others. Questions one asks leads the
other individual to talk more about themselves and bring out the best in that
person through their presence and attitude.
The questioner is someone who shows they have a true curiosity to learn,
open-mind to listen to what is said and withhold judgement as the individual
speaks.
Would the reader
like to develop their inverse charisma?
Next week, learn more about it and how to develop it.
ACTION: Create a list of characteristics for
an individual with charisma.
