There is no rule book, no right or wrong; you just have to make it up and do the very best you can to care for your family. - Kate Middleton
Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can possess. –
Sabrina Carpenter
One of the hardest things for the author is to have
confidence to accomplish her dreams. As
the author as has been contemplating her confidence, she remembered the lady’s
business group she led when she lived in Austin, Texas. The first topic the author discussed was
confidence and talked about Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. She was a commoner who became one of the most
famous individuals in the world because of her love for a man and her country.
Many of us have our own confidence issues. It may not be anything we discuss with others,
but most are scared of something and have to overcome that fear. The author has learned that fear may come on
her and she can feel that she is absolutely horrible and cannot do what is in
front of her. However, she knows that
the best thing to do is to embrace the experience, learn from it and be
prepared for the next time the author has to encounter a similar
experience.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to
yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that
comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. ― Eleanor
Roosevelt, You Learn by Living: Eleven Keys for a More
Next week, the author will discuss how she took her own
advice and gained confidence by facing fear head on.
ACTION: What recent
experiences have you looked fear in the face and known afterwards that you can
handle anything that comes your way?
