What MOTIVATES you?
Each of us has a different motivation. I often get asked what motivates me to get up
each morning to lift weights and run. In
previous years, I would have said because I had a chip on my shoulders from
what men have said to me (check out this article to learn more about this statement: http://www.forbes.com/sites/actiontrumpseverything/2014/03/01/17-ways-to-motivate-yourself-to-do-great-things/).
Now, the bigger reason I exercise is simply said here:
From this past Thursday night’s session, my favorite lady we
discussed was Rosa Parks. Many people
have asked her why she did not move from that bus seat when the bus driver told
her she had to. Here is her response:
“People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I
was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired
than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some
people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only
tired I was, was tired of giving in.”
This week, think about what MOTIVATES you. I know that inside each of us is the same
strength that Rosa Parks had too make a difference in this world.
Let’s go change the world!
